The Bikefest takes place on Fayetteville Street which is blocked off all the way to the Capital building. If that wasn’t enough, this year Ray added the Ray Price Motorsports Expo held in the Raleigh Convention Center. The Expo was the site of the bike show with $15,000 in prize money as well as vendors and entertainment. All of this was completely free of charge and according to the exhibitors I talked to, they all said this was a first-class setup with a very reasonable set up fee.
On Fayetteville Street there were also many vendors as well as bands throughout the weekend and numerous stunt shows. My favorite among them was Ms. Juli Moody, also known as The Female Human Link, who set two more world records to add to her collection. Seeing this former Gold Medal Olympic athlete hold back four Harley-Davidson motorcycles that are trying to tear her apart is a sight to see.
I would like to thank everyone involved in putting on a flawless weekend show. I would especially like to thank Ray Price for treating over 130,000 plus attendees to a family-friendly event that as far as I know is the largest motorcycle event in North Carolina.
