What makes this all the more interesting to me right now is that I’m not familiar with a lot of the builders. New (to me at least) builders have come out of their shops and garages with some of the most innovative customs as well as stunning takes on old styles and have given all of us a steady feed of gorgeous customs to stare at.
One thing that’s a bit surprising to me is the huge number of Harley-Davidson based or powered by Harley customs. It wasn’t that long ago that if you didn’t have at least a 125-inch engine in your bike, preferably aftermarket, you weren’t a player. Somehow I’ve got a feeling that the aftermarket V-twin engines have taken the biggest hit during this change to Harleys, but I’ve got a feeling they’re going to hang in there and maybe bring about some big changes in 45-degree air-cooled V-twins. Good stuff whether aftermarket or OEM will still rule the day as buyers will vote with their wallet and brain and not their heart on this one. I look forward to seeing where this all goes.
But, enough of my blabbing, take a good look through Jack’s photos and let us know what you like and what you don’t.
