1967 Triumph Bonneville
Story by Mark Barnett, Photos by Rodent
Rodent and I were walking out in front of the store one Saturday towards the hamburger stand when what should appear but this killer old 1967 Triumph bobber. We quickly cornered the owner and moved the bike over to the porch area outside my office to photograph it. It was a modest budget effort, just a hardtail kit, Hunt magneto, barrel oil tank, and single Mikuni was all that met the eye. Those items plus the Indian Larry style exposed oil filter. But the effect was very positive, the guy made himself a sound, in town, go-to-the-hamburger-stand bike that was a good conversation piece. The guy said it started up pretty easily and that he hadn’t had any trouble with it since getting it back on the road. He never came back with the spec sheet or his name, however. So here it is all its raw, elemental, less-is-more glory, sans information.
