2010 Daytona Bike Week Rally Part 3
The Harley-Davidson Ride In Show and the Limpnickie Display Area
Story and Photos by Rodent
Now held at its new location on Beach Street, the Harley Ride In Show was greeted with a cool wind blowing off the nearby Halifax River. Even the sturdy Milwaukee crew organizing the show were shivering and wearing thick gloves while setting up the show and directing the bikes. My favorite bike was the single cylinder 1912 model Harley-Davidson that started up and ran in front of the crowd. Bikes entered into this show need to have a Harley frame or a Harley motor or both. Lots of good baggers. I also ventured down to the Limpnickie Lot at the Stone Edge Skate Park. They hosted a bike show, a ride down to Willie’s show plus had autograph signings, movies, and music. They had a pretty wild Knuckle there and several great bike by Nash. It was worth stopping in.
