The Rims on the River – Car, Hot Rod and Motorcycle Show was supposed to take place on Saturday April 21, but due to an approaching rainstorm it was moved to Sunday. This could have been a disaster for many car shows but not this one. There were a large number of quality vehicles that stayed over ‘til Sunday, which turned out to be a beautiful day.

            The show had a diverse selection of vintage and rat rod vehicles all in pristine condition with the amazing backdrop of riverfront downtown Wilmington’s riverfront. As far as I’m concerned, it is a photographer’s dream setting.

            The man behind the show is Chris Andrews along with volunteers who put in a lot of time preparing for the car show.  It’s not just about cars either as the weekend is filled with concerts and parties.
