2010 Daytona Bike Week Rally Part 4
Parking Lot Customs and Harleys From This Year’s Rally
Story and Photos by Rodent
Though crowds were down with people pinching pennies, there were still tens of thousands of bikes and bikers all over the Daytona area. While much photography takes place indoors at the shows, I also spend time looking through the parking lots to see what people are riding. The six-cylinder spiked sidecar rig was as wild as anything at the shows, same for a handful of customs I saw backed into curbs up and down the streets of Daytona. Mostly, I took shots of good looking Harleys, old and new, that got their riders down to the big meet, probably year after year. I saw three particularly nice shovelheads this year: a softail-framed one, a hyper-clean red FX model, and a killer little hardtail. I took multiple shots of each.
