Bikes of Bike Week 2010 Arizona Bike Week Part 3
Story and Photos by J. Joshua Placa
According to organizers and my naked eyeball, well over 40,000 motorcyclists rode into AZ Bike Week, scooting around the event’s epicenter, Cyclefest, and assorted venues about town. If you stood on the right corner long enough, you would have seen pretty much every year, make and model of motorcycle known to man, and a few unknown.
A sea of Harleys and other manner of two- or three-wheeled conveyance filled Cyclefest’s gaping parking lot. This was a good place for bike watching. Other popular vantage spots included The Billet Bar; Dirty Dogg Saloon; Greasewood Flat Western Bar; The Hideaway; Steel Horse Saloon; Tailgaters, and Paul Yaffe’s annual PYO Bike Week Bash.
If you dare to look for adventure beyond the edge of town and somehow find yourself in Jerome, AZ, like most motorcyclists do sooner or later, check out the view at the Spirit Room, the coolest haunt in northern Arizona.
