Although I like NASCAR, I am not a die-hard fan like the dozens of people that waited all night in the rain under tarps and umbrellas to be the first in line for autographs. Thaat’s crazy!! What I am is a fan of is the cars themselves.

These cars are mechanical marvels built and maintained by some of the best mechanics in the world. Every part on these racing machines is engineered with the highest specs imaginable. They also look pretty darn hot.

While I was there I took photos of some of the drivers signing autographs and I have to admit that without a helmet on with their car numbers on it, I didn’t know who the hell I was taking pictures of. Sorry, but there was a kid signing autographs that didn’t look old enough to drive. Shows how much I know.

I know this is a motorcycle web site, but if it’s got wheels and an engine I’m all for it. Racing is racing and I like it all. I know that a lot of bikers are also fans of NASCAR so I wanted to share this event and take as many photos of the cars as I could. I hope I didn’t miss your favorite.
