Well I’ll explain with the name of the builder and see if that strikes a bell, ready? Here goes in three words ─ Led Sled Customs and because I know they’re hella-proud of it─ of Dayton, Ohio. Yes sir, it’s getting hard it seems to write any custom bike article about a Sportster without mentioning some part or service courtesy of Led Sled’s insane-in-the-membrane resident brainiac and lover of all things Sportster, Pat Patterson, and his team of Led Sled lost boys.
For once we’re not going to go too deep with an analysis of what makes this bike cool (at least check out the wicked perimeter rotor on the rear wheel – is that cool or what?) or whatever it is we do online, but just let you drink in the Sportster fun of a Led Sled bike built for a customer with a wish list of Led Sled parts. Oh you know, like everything from say the hardtail frame to the jockey shifter and most everything else in between. Led Sled was way ahead of the curve of Sportsters being cool again ( they always were for me) and the lost boys have been busy, busy, busy trying to make sure you XL lovers don’t have an XL-size chip on your shoulder about not having special stuff made just for your special rides. If you’ve got a Rodney Dangerfield complex about your Sporty, you can always take solace in that there’s a bunch of likeminded people hanging out in the Dayton, Ohio, area just waiting to hear from you. If you’re a Sportster freak (and you know you are), be sure to check out Led Sled’s huge assortment of parts for Harley’s longest running model and get your freak on in a way you never dreamed possible.
