In a non-descript building on a non-descript street in a non-descript part of town, there is a motorcycle fabrication shop owned by five unequal partners, Marcus, Joe, Shawn, and Welder plus a sponsoring silent partner. Basically it’s Marcus’s shop where the other partners work on their bikes under supervision by Marcus. At present Joe is building a bobber shovel from scavenged parts from various sources, private sellers, flea markets, junkyards and such. Marcus is supplying moral and technical support, plus lending a hand.

Welder is a full-time builder of roll cages for race cars and a great addition to the underground enterprise as he does exotic welding, which I know nothing about. Joe is a master tattoo artist who dabbles in hot rods and bikes. Sean is a transporter of animals who’s bike lives in a van when the van is not working. Sean transports the bike between St Augustine where he lives to Daytona where he rides. A strange arrangement. A real cast of characters.

On Sunday of Biketoberfest, Marcus entered “Spare Change” in a show in nearby Palatka, Florida, and took the grand prize, cash and trophy for best bike in show.
