Hopefully you’ve checked out Jack Cofano’s photo gallery as you’ve really got to see this baby close up for all the detail work and the unbelievable paintjob. Maybe the bike is not your cup of tea, but that shouldn’t keep you from admiring the time and effort Christian and John have poured into this build. The idea behind it was to make a bike that had the feel of a gladiator’s outfit and Spartacus in particular. I don’t think they were going with Kirk Douglas’ 1960 film Spartacus, but more like the late and dearly missed Starz version Spartacus Blood and Sand starring the late Andy Whitefield.
Started back in 2007, the pro street-style build is extreme to the max and not a bunch of lightly-modded parts off a shelf by any means. And don’t even expect me to go into any kind of details about what motor, tranny, etc. it has as that aspect is inconsequential as far as I’m concerned. Everything was built from flat stock, tubing, and billet and this video shows the details of what went on to give you an idea of the work behind it. Christian and John didn’t screw around on any facet and never took the easy way out. Maybe that’s what long Canadian winters do to you.
But, I gotta say that the paint by Martin “Fitto” Bouchard of AirbrushFitto takes the cake. The hours and hours and then some more hours of time spent to get this bike to showcase gladiator times and equipment is astounding. Once he got into doing this I’m sure Christian and John probably had to keep him locked in his shop and keep throwing huge amounts of money in to finish this dazzler. Here’s a video about the paint work (turn off your sound) that’s just got to be stunning to see close up. Jack’s photos do it justice, but the 3D effects have got to be spectacular up close in person.
If you’ve got to see more or want to contact Christian or John, you’ll have to check out the Spartacus Facebook page dedicated to just this bike and go from there.
