Iron Block Harley-Davidson’s 1999 Fat Boy Street Stalker
Story by Mark Barnett, Photos by Sedrick C. Mitchell
I remember these factory Harley-Davidson Street Stalker kits. They had a funky headlight nacelle, a little spoiler that fit right behind the front tire, and a bobbed rear fender just as you see here. We sold a few but never thought of applying such a wild paint job. The kit really takes the paint well; the moment I saw this one I liked it. You have an eleven-year-old bike that’s as fresh as morning. Upstate New Yorker Erik Dunk owns Iron Block Harley-Davidson in Adams Center, New York, about 35 miles from Canada. This is his personal bike. And the boss’s bike has more than good looks, as Erik emptied the high performance shelves into this motor fitting Screamin’ Eagle heads, high-compression pistons, a 45mm Mikuni carburetor, and a two-into-one exhaust. Carlini handlebars were fitted and appear to be the only aftermarket item on the bike. The front wheel is a Harley-Davidson 5-Star, the rear wheel a chromed stock disc, and the tires stock H-D Dunlops. Shows what can be done with a stock 1999 Fat Boy now doesn’t it?
