Gerhard Remmert was born and raised on a traditional farm, and early in life he developed an interest in motorcycles. After riding for a couple of years, he developed an interest for building motorcycles. As a farm boy, he had a lot of mechanical experience from working on tractors, and other farm related equipment. What he didn’t have was a bike shop, so his family converted an arm of one of their farm building, so Gerhard could expand his motorcycle building hobby. In a short time, he became well-known as a very good local custom bike builder. And soon after came the national and international recognition, and Gerhard Remmert’s Bike Farm evolved into a premiere custom bike shop employing approximately 15 skilled bike mechanics, along with a couple of administrative personnel. Today, the Bike Farm is producing a wide variety of some the world’s most well-engineered custom machines on the market.

Their “2 Die 4” custom will show at the 2011 Sturgis event and one or two additional Bike Farm custom Machines. It took the shop about 800 hours, or 100 normal 8-hour workdays to complete this custom. They started out with a rigid frame, and then added an S&S Knucklehead engine with a Harley-Davidson 5-speed transmission. Along the building process, they added lots of special parts and features (See spec sheet for additional info). “Our custom bikes are appealing, but more importantly they run just as good as they look,” said Gerhard.
