Tracy DeLux of Charlotte, North Carolina apparently feels the same way with her neat looking customized 2001 Night Train built by her husband Chris. Tracy picked up her bike on eBay and Chris worked on it “a little at a time” until she had the super-sano real-world rider you see here. “I wanted the bike to look like a classic Old School Harley,” said Tracy. “I picked out a hot rod Old School flat orange paint. What’s better than H-D colors?” Tracy’s right about that as the paint job has an absolutely distinctive look without trying to be flashy look-at-me look.
Chris thoughtfully left the 88” Twin Cam stock other than a set of Vance & Hines black ceramic-coated pipes and a charmingly simple high-flow K&N air filter that works just peachy for Tracy’s use. “I mostly do day trips, bar hopping, and a few rides to the beach,” she said. Some of the other changes Chris made are immediately noticeable, though, like replacing the stock drag bars with a set of attitude-inducing apes and a black powder coated Fat Daddy 50-spoke front wheel. Chris better set apart some spare time as Tracy said she’s “thinking about putting fat bar apes on her.” Being married to your builder does have its good points as Tracy said, “My husband’s service was great and it was free! I get lots of comments on the bike and they love it when they see it belongs to a chick.” And a smart chick at that.
