Whatever Buell that engine came from is just about intact other than the engine as TPJ built a new frame, swingarm, tank, fenders, seat, and more to house the engine. A new set of lightweight spoked wheels with Excel rims and Avon tires allows this sucker to be thrown around with reckless abandon, yet all that happens is a bit more seat patina. Braking is courtesy of France by way of a tidy little set of Beringer brakes front and rear. Bryan’s got a good eye for parts as Beringer stuff has been around for years, but rarely seen on American V-twin customs. That’s pretty unfortunate as they have some extremely radical designs, but they are popping up a bit more than they used to.
With paint by Kirk Taylor of Custom Design Studios and powder coating by Precisssion Stripping and Coating (also in Lodi), this bike Bryan calls Mindy is not just a pretty face even though it was a contender in this year’s AMD Show. It gets used on the street and the dirt and if you don’t believe it, check out YouTube for yourself.
