In the meantime, we can speculate as to what this fine ride is and isn’t. I’d guess that it’s an old build probably based on an old police bike bought at auction and from numerous items like the sky-shot sissy bar, extremely narrow and radically-angled bars, and the enclosed chrome shocks among many other things. The engine patina with just the right amount of real-world rust to balance off the chrome shows this bike is ridden and loved. There’s also just the right amount of ‘70s custom touches like the chrome rear fender, Sporty tank, chrome tool box, chunky heel/toe shifter, and the way that the mirrors’ angle compliments the bars’ angle. Stuff like that was considered killer back then. Actually it’s still considered killer today by a growing and appreciative audience of what things were really like back in the day. Some things grow old and some things just get better with age. This mystery FL is one of those that gets better with every passing year.
