With all that by way of introduction, the bike featured here is just one of a half dozen or so that Bill builds a year. Most of them are to showcase his parts and sometimes to introduce a new frame that he has started to carry. He also builds one or two for friends when asked. This bike started out with a Brighton frame out of Miami, Florida. The six up and six out frame with 45 degrees of rake hides the oil tank in the bottom half of the rear fender for a super clean appearance. The battery is under the air dam so the handmade seat can be fitted nice and low. American suspension forks, a full 14” over, handle the suspension duties.
A polished 110 RevTech motor turns the 300mm wide tire through an RST six speed tranny. While some parts are one off, like the bars, extra gussetting on the frame, and rear fender, most parts were from www.SturgisSwapMeet.com such as the Ness pipes, D&M air cleaner, Exile sprotor, and HHI brakes. Most can be found at Bill’s 100 foot long tent at Sturgis or his stationary (meaning they can’t move) stores. Paint by Bernie out of Daytona applied the loud yellow paint job.
The bike took only about 30 days to put together which is really quick by custom bike standards. In fact, it is close to TV standards, something made possible by his quick access to parts I’m sure. Bill’s Daytona store has been around for five years and the one in Wisconsin for eleven. This time in the business explains his success on the web, people feel more comfortable doing business online with someone they’ve seen in the flesh.
So next time you’re grabbing a rally shirt at Daytona or some custom parts from a vendor in a tent, look up and you might catch a glimpse of this screaming yellow monster parked nearby.
