When it was time to make the chopper go, Wayne ordered up a 113” Patrick Racing engine, a 5-speed Jim’s transmission and BDL top fuel primary belt. Hooligan wheels by PM were fitted, a 21” in the front and an 8 1/2” wide one in the rear for the 250 Avon. Doug Keim supplied the “2 O’Clock” rear fender, gas tank and front end. A Fat Katz front fender hugs the tire and the sleek oil tank was also made by Doug Keim. Dual Mikunis mix the fuel and Matt Hotch pipes spit it out once burnt. L.A. Choppers bars, PM hand and foot controls, Yaffe mirrors, and an exotic paint job by Dennis at Cosmic Airbrush in Hawaii complete the build.
Doug Keim doesn’t just build complete bikes, he offers all kinds of components including complete rolling chassis units as Wayne from Bad Island Toyz used here. If you want to ride what bike builders themselves ride, give Doug a call at 732-751-1403 or check out his website www.dougkeim.com. If you live in Hawaii, I’m sure Wayne wouldn’t mind piecing one together for you. I doubt, however, he’ll part with this one. According to Doug, he raved about the ride and handling and is quite happy with it. But then again, you know these builders, always on to the next project……
