Such was the case with Mike Stafford of MGS Custom Bikes in Lancaster, CA and Mike’s customer Clayton Ensminger from Tennessee. Clayton knew Mike was a talented builder. He had seen his work and knew Mike could build him the bike of his dreams, but Clayton did not know exactly what he wanted, only that it must be long and low.
Mike’s reputation was persuasive. Clayton coughed up the ching and the project began.
MGS Custom Bikes is known for its extreme fabrication. You may have seen Mike on the Discovery Channel’s American Chopper program with Orange County Choppers. MGS Custom Bikes fabricated the gas tank for the fire truck tribute bike featured on the popular program.
MGS Custom Bikes had its credentials although, to quote Mike, “The customer was nervous as hell the whole way through. He kept wanting to see images and I would not let him. Even when it was done, I would not send him photos.”
Upon completion we packed it up and shipped it to Tennessee. The first time Clayton saw it was when it was unpacked right in front of him. The project was a success. Clayton was ecstatic, his dreams had been realized in a long, lean, shiny blue custom.
The bike features all top shelf components. The powerful TP 124” engine ensures plenty of ground pounding power. Attention to detail with the MGS Custom Bikes handlebars and with clean internal throttle and hydraulic clutch are some of the little things that make this custom bike a really great custom bike. Check out the impressive list of quality components in the specifications.
Somewhere in Tennessee there is a guy named Clayton riding a sweet custom around with a big happy grin on his face and a lot less money in his pocket. Who says you can’t trust anyone anymore?
