With a name like Tribal King, it’s no surprise that Andre didn’t run into many problems while building of the bike. “Nothing really gave us any trouble,” he said. “If I had to pick one thing that has been annoying is the stretched tank. Stretched tanks really limit what you can do from a seat stand point. Everything has to be custom fitted at this point. I will leave the tank stock on my next build.”
Andre couldn’t be happier with the way the bike handles. “I mostly bar hop with my motorcycle,” he said. “However, I do belong to a motorcycle club that requires one to put their motorcycle on the highway. I am a member of the SECOND II None M/C founded in Los Angeles. Customizing Harleys is part of our culture. When it’s time to hit the highway I install the Road King windshield and I’m off. This bike is a dream on the open road.”
This is the second bike that Andre has built with Vida Loca Customs. “I have not built a lot of bikes. However, Vida Loca Customs and I built a Road Star several years back. It’s more custom than my Road King. The only thing left stock on it is the frame,” he said, laughing. “It’s quite the motorcycle actually. And, I did most of the assembly myself.” In addition to Tribal King, he owns a 2002 Road Star called Jazz. But lately he’s just been riding Tribal King. “The Tribal King has 17,000 miles on it. It has not seen as many miles as other bikes. But in my opinion, it’s not a garage queen either,” he said.
“I really like the way all of the HD CVO and Covington Customs chrome parts compliment each other,” Andre said. “Since the photos have been taken, my bike has been taken part and the entire rear end chromed. Also, more Street Magic LED lights. But I must say my favorite aspect of the bike is the paint. It never fails — every time I ride someone comments on the paint scheme.”/
