The lucky recipients of all this exchange of Benjamins are the builders, Bryan and Big Mike, from Sinners-N-Saints Choppers (www.snscustoms.com) in Columbus. Ohio, who look to have earned every dollar for the fine work they’ve done. Over a period of six months they transformed Shawn’s 2010 Street Glide from factory fresh to a ride worthy of entering shows while keeping all the everyday goodness Harley infused this bike with in the first place. Maybe you can have your cake and eat it too.
The 96” Twin Cam was basically left stock except for an extensive chrome bath and the addition of Kurakyn’s Crusher True Duals and CorsAir air cleaner and, oh, that little NOS system sitting in the left saddlebag. Yeah, a punch of that little nitrous button sure makes up for a lot of high-performance engine parts in one fell swoop. They don’t call it laughing gas for nothing and Shawn’s got to laugh his ass of every time he hits it.
On first glance you might think Shawn’s running brake-free up front as there’s not a caliper or rotor in sight. But, you would be wrong sir. He replaced the stock front wheel with a 21” hoop that has a radical (and sometimes controversial) 360 Brake embedded in the hub. Although I can’t say much about the performance from any kind of personal experience, it sure beats going brakeless when you’re trying to show off your custom wheels.
Looking around this bike, you can’t help but notice everything has been changes, modified, or just plain played with by Sinners-N-Saints until each little piece has its own custom story to tell. From the floor boards to foot controls to the killer stereo to the gator-covered seat to name just a few, no part was left untouched. What makes this bike the outstanding eye-catcher it is, though, is that over-the-top tribal and Benjamin paint job by Steve Copper and Sinners-N-Saints. I’ve got a feeling that even though there’s a ton of Benjamin reproductions all through the bike, it doesn’t even come close to the actual amount it cost to put them there. There’s the old saying that “Money talks and bullshit walks” and in this case, Shawn ain’t doing any walking. He put his money where his mouth is and has what has to be his own version of riding nirvana.
