It took about three months to complete this project. The motor was rebuilt using Harley and JIMs products. The transmission received a fresh set of Andrews gears. A lot of time was spent decorating the bike once the basics were finished. A Candy Pearl paint job was applied by Tommy, in house painter at Black Magic Customs. PM handlebar controls, Choppers Inc grips, risers and oil tank, and a West Coast Choppers rear fender brought the EL into the 21st century.
If you’re in the Illinois area, check out Phil and Lynn’s store. If you can’t make it but would like to see samples of their work, they’re on the web at www.blackmagiccustoms.com. They can help you rebuild your old bike or turn it into a rideable showbike. They also build Show Customs with Evo engines and air ride suspension if that is to your liking. When asked if this bike was for sale, there was much confusion, aggravation, and discussion back and forth. It has obviously found its place in the Hoffman’s home, but business is business and the final answer was yes. Give ‘em a call at 815-786-1977 if you want to try and pry it away from them.
They will try to pry away $32K from you, however.
