Getting back to the subject at hand, Cylent Cycles is all about the bagger. Not baggers and bobbers or baggers and choppers, Cylent could be called Just Baggers and that wouldn’t be pushing it a tiny bit. Their website is filled with their own parts and pieces that just might make your bagger stand out in an ever-growing sea of custom baggers. Yeah it’s got the mandatory big wheel up front, but Scott specializes in bodywork that has a style all his own. There’s not a piece of tin (or composite material) that hasn’t been worked over on this bike until it’s no longer resembling a stock piece.
Take the fairing which looks somewhat like a regular fairing until you check out the cool thing he works around to make it special. Obviously he wanted something really sleek and made his fairing around a set of headlights from a sportbike which is sleek chic to begin with. They’re so well integrated into his design that you’d think they were designed just for this purpose and not a sportbike. Scott can build you a fairing with similar lights if you so desired, but you gotta work it out with him first as this is not an everyday off-the-shelf Cylent part. Actually that only makes it better because if some headlight really tickles your fancy, he’s your man to stylishly envelope it in fiberglass. Sure, it’s gonna cost you, but spending money like it’s going out of style is what a custom bagger appears to be about. Those 26” or 30” front wheels with brake(s), tire, and a fender you see on anything currently hip cost about what a nice late model Sporty alone would run you. No, I’m not suggesting you mount a used Sportster in place of your FL’s front wheel; custom baggers are just pricy stuff is all. Scott’s just offering you something that really takes your bike to a different style altogether.
Same goes for the other body parts like the integrated frame covers/bags with their hydraulically-operated tops. They’re the closest most of us will ever get to feeling like we own a Lamborghini. By the way, the rear fender and LED taillights are also Cylent parts so if you like the look, look no further than Cylent for a complete new ass end. Same goes for the tank and chin spoiler, all Cylent stuff. By the way, that brilliant white paintjob and the minimalist graphics (I love the 3-D devil’s head company mascot on the air cleaner) was also done in-house by Cylent’s Alan Hanks.
If you’re about ready to let loose the hounds of hell on your Harley bagger, just make sure you check out Scott’s work and his unique style at www.cylentcycles.com.
