What you’ve got to do is click on the link here and see Mr. Tooley explain the ideas behind his bike called Scarab one at a time. A handful of supposedly real Egyptian artifacts including stuff with a link to Cleopatra (watch that video and decide for yourself) are showcased throughout the bike along with enough ancient Egyptian references in the unbelievable paintjob to make you feel like you just got back from a trip to Giza. For those of us who can’t get enough of Ed Tooley’s outside the box approach to custom motorcycles, here’s another video that I like even better once it gets going.

Ed Tooley’s having fun and absolutely doing his own thing and that’s a damn good thing. There’s a bit of Salvador Dali in his approach to custom transportation infused with the wisdom of Larry the Cable Guy . What he’s built shouldn’t matter to anyone other than those that are glad there are still builders out there with a dream and a means to make it happen.
