There are a lot of reasons why people attend motorcycle rallies and motorcycle related events. These reasons vary widely. Many people attend just to hook up with old buddies, or hook up with an old sweetie, and some go to motorcycle events to shop the biker vendors, while other go just to be in a motorcycle environment and enjoy the music.
But there are a couple of other important reasons why people attend motorcycle rallies, and they are probably the main reasons that draw the crowds. Since the beginning of time, the human male has always enjoyed admiring a beautiful human female, and today it’s one of the main reasons that bikers attend biker events. The 2011 European Bike Week had more than enough beautiful ladies to pacify the drooling male’s eyeballs. The attractive ladies came from all across Europe, plus there were many homegrown beauties from the local area.
Another reason bikers and biker loving folks attend motorcycle events is because of the custom–built motorcycles. There are many bikers who would prefer to dribble over a rare custom-made motorcycle than anything else. And once again the 2011 European Bike Week magnetized some of the world’s best custom motorcycle builders. Names like Fred Kodlin, Fred Krugger, AT American Cycles, Custom Garage, Holger Schnell, Marcus Walz, and the list of World-class custom bike builders goes on.
When it comes to building custom motorcycles the European builders has taken a commanding lead over other custom bike builders in most other parts of the world. The Sturgis 2011 event was a great example. Just take a look at your favorite American motorcycle publication that covered Sturgis, and see the custom-bike builder winning results.
The 2011 European Bike Week was another fantastic motorcycle event, and riders are already looking forward to next year’s occasion. Myself and several biker buddies are currently making plans to ship our Harley Davidson machines over to Europe for the 2012 event. We’ll see you there!
