What was once a Harley-Davidson Road King built by The Motor Company to take its new owner across town or across the country on a moment’s notice is now doing show duty under a whole new façade. Gone are the familiar FLHR pieces of bodywork replaced by a complete makeover that is smoother than the late Barry White introducing his song Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love Baby. Barry is pretty damn smooth in his every note and move, but Kenny just might have topped what the NY Times referred to as “The voice of seduction” with this smoother than smooth bagger.
Dropped down on its electric center stand, Kenny’s bagger bodywork is one swoopy curve after another that flows from the re-imagined Road King headlight nacelle to the still air that falls off the rear fender tip. If this bike ever somehow landed in a wind tunnel, the wind would have a good time just rolling around over and around the bodywork. Even the ancient lump of a V-twin with all its fittings and fins gets down and smooth too with a matte finish that would look great on any bike, but it especially looks good here. Same goes for the finish on the wheels, forks and whatever the hell else isn’t painted soft gold. With only two colors on the whole palette of this build, it isn’t boring or something you might check out later at a show after you’ve seen the crazy stuff. It quietly demands you look at it just like Barry White demands you make love every chance you get.
