The paint is black lacquer that was applied to the sheet metal somewhere that it was legal. A most unusual feature is that, except for the motor, all the bright work was nickel plated at a considerable expense. The miles on the clock (only 327) are since new and the summer after it was built it graced the streets of Sturgis during bike week.
