Story and Photos by Jack Cofano {phocagallery view=categories|categoryid=852|imagecategories=0|}

Note: None of the photo’s you will see in Part I and II of this article were taken in the city of Myrtle Beach.
I don’t know what to call the week in May that still has thousands of bikes gathering for a week of camaraderie not to mention great weather and great times. If I call it Myrtle Beach Bike Week all the negative Nazi’s out there will be ranting like “Birthers”, if I call it the “Grand Strand Bike Week” they will still rant and it also would not be accurate as most of the venues are not actually on the Grand Strand. What I would like to call it is a great time for all except for maybe the always complaining few. Who needs them anyways? Maybe they are afraid that the gray hairs in the city are packin’ knives. Go granny go. There is nothing in the city proper anymore but T-Shirt shop and empty stores. No reason to ride there. You don’t have to go into the city, I repeat, You don’t have to go into the city. (this is me shaking my head in bewilderment)
I rode down to the rally the first Saturday, Thursday, and the last Saturday and the crowds were out in force all three days. No, nowhere near as many bikers as in the past but way more than in the previous two years. Personally I think it was the perfect size, no traffic jams like in Daytona, no lines at restaurants, and no inflated prices like Daytona and Sturgis. Nothing but a bunch of like-minded individuals enjoying each other’s company.
I know I will still see the same old comments on the blogs stating, “They don’t want us there so I’ll never go to Myrtle Beach again”, but then again there are still plenty of morons that still think the President of the United States was born in Kenya. (This is me shaking my head in bewilderment again)
I know there are plenty out there in the Internet world that will take offense with this article and that is to be expect. Still, this is my view of this sad situation and I take full responsibility for it’s content. Another words if you disagree that’s your prerogative. (that means your choice)
