The show had a very respectable $15,000 total prize payout that brought in a considerable number of bikes to the display floor. Not only were there many more bikes on display than last year, but it was also a first class setup with low entrance fees. Each bike had a place card showing much needed information we need to be able to do a feature article at Barnett’s Magazine Online.
In what seems to be the norm these days, custom baggers by far made up the bulk of the show. With more and more people riding baggers it makes sense that the very talented builders would focus their builds in this genre. That being said, it sure would be nice to see them use their talent to come up with builds outside their comfort zone. It is getting to the point that the main difference I am seeing from one bagger to the next is the paint and graphics. Don’t get me wrong, the paint and airbrushing on the bikes I see is incredible and never ceases to amaze, but it is starting to be the main focus of these builds.
The short list of winners at the show come from the Invited Class winners with Kenny Williams of KW Custom Baggers coming in third, Matt Harris of 40 Cal second and the first place win being awarded to Rhett Holley at Butcher Chop.
