This area was once part of the huge copper mining operation in Bisbee. After the mine was closed, Jay and a few of his friends bought up some of the buildings on Erie Street in the Lowell burb. There is a retired airline pilot, a photographer, a drag racing mechanic, and Jay who was brought up in Bisbee.
Look at the photos of some of Jay’s toys as they a remarkable piece of American history. His buddies on the street also have a remarkable collection of oldies but goodies. They are thinking about putting on a homeboy street show once a year to show off their toys. It would also be open to others in a juried selection process. This could turn into a real economic boom for the area and expose the area to enthusiasts for better or worse. In the meantime enjoy looking at the images as much as I enjoyed making them.
