What a sneaky way to showcase another neat build from Toledo’s Chop Machine, but a boy’s gotta do what a boy’s gotta do to make sure the pack ‘o lads at Chop Machine get their due. They’ve been busy banging away making some serious old-style chops with a modern twist. What twist you say? Well little modern things like making ‘em run and ride like a custom bobber should along with looking good while doing it. And, most importantly, all for a price that’s within the reach of an average person trying to get by, but still wanting some fun in today’s financial climate, but with a style and finish that’s far from average. Sounds like Chop Machine has totally busted the old idiom of “You can’t have your cake and eat it too” to having your cake and eating it too.
Like all of Chop Machine’s bikes, this one has a DMV-friendly, Harley VIN-equipped neck attached to a brand new Led Sled rigid frame. That’s a good example of that cake thing again. Wicked custom frame like something straight out of chopper TV with no problems at the DMV. M-m-m that cake tastes good. Or, the nicely refurbished and refinished Sporty engine packing good looks, good sound, good power, and good reliability at a good price. M-m-m I love frosting. Or, the flashback-inducing gold ‘70s paintjob that could be straight out of a ‘70s David Mann painting. M-m-m I’m using my finger to get all the cake crumbs off the plate. Yup, I think I just had my cake and ate it too just thinking about this cool ride. Oaky, okay, I gotta admit I’m really partial to gold paint for reasons I don’t understand and I was immediately drawn to checking out this bike before I even knew who built it or what it was. Write it of to gold fever and that’s that.
If something seems familiar about Chop Machine and you’re not quite sure why, maybe it’s because we’ve already run a bunch of their bikes recently like this one, or this one, or maybe this one. Now that I think of it, all four of these bikes don’t add up to what one so-called kinda fancy lad custom might cost. Putting this all in perspective, maybe there is a good reason to head to Toledo after all. Hey, even if you don’t like it, you could have a great ride with timeless style from Chop Machine to head straight outta Toledo and back to Compton or wherever you’re from.
