But, enough of my ranting, on with one of America’s premier motorcycle events, The Quail Motorcycle Gathering, in its 6th year at the classic Quail Lodge and Golf Club just off of Carmel Valley Road in Carmel, California. It’s always a great event with classic and historic motorcycles on display, food and drink worthy of mention that attracts a class of attendees not normally seen at the average event. Of course, there is a gate fee which keeps the hoi polloi away. Tickets were $75 and included lunch, parking and gear valet service.
The weather was ideal, not to hot and not cold with brilliant sunshine that didn’t help picture taking. The BBQ was delicious, the bikes beautiful, and the crowd was the largest that I’ve seen at a motorcycle gathering at Quail.
I gotta hand it to Gordon, Courtney, and the Quail crew for making a perfect event, even better every year.
