Expressing satisfaction with the parts, the crew at Top Shelf got the bike together in a short three months, using a powerful 113” S&S motor and a six speed Baker transmission. This high class, minimalist chopper ended up with the clean lines and bare bones looks that put Jesse on the map. A sensible 200 series tire was fitted out back and high end PM foot controls and Brembo brakes finished things up. Rick Walker of West Coast Color Works applied the black with gold metal flake paint. The end result is a super clean, good looking bike that weighs very little and goes very fast. If you want to keep your parts purchases and bike fabrication geographically close together, Top Shelf Customs using Jesse James parts puts together a great bike with classic looks that will stay popular for years to come.
Builder
Two ex-Performance Machine employees, Barry Lacour and Todd Filicapo, got together about two years ago and went out on their own, founding Top Shelf Customs of Huntington Beach, California. Selling parts, building custom bikes and producing their own line of parts are tops on their mission statement. They build up bikes according to their customers’ specs and budgets. Employee Brandin Clay built this bike up for himself. If you would like something similar built, contact Top Shelf Customs at 714-903-8042 or check them out on the web at www.topshelfcustoms.com.
