Marcus bought this bike as a basket, with most of the parts there but in bare metal, primer, and some rust: your typical grab bag. What turned out not to be typical was that at some point this bike was a Chandler Original, either a kit or a disassembled bike owned or built by Adam Chandler. Not only stickers, but the title showed this to be true. After about six months of assembly and paint work, Marcus rolled the bike down a ramp to its new home; no spoiled indoor bike, it had to sleep outside. The first ride was an eye opener. “It is my lightest bike and has the biggest engine,” Marcus said describing the acceleration the 113” S&S with a 6-speed provided. “It’s really fast,” he added.
The bike now sits outside Willie’s Tropical Tattoo parlor during business hours and Marcus said he’d sell it if anyone was interested, he seems to own quite a few bikes already. Two of his favorite parts on the bike are the comfortable floorboards and the killer candy tangerine orange glow paint applied by Joe Sr. and Joey Jr. of B&D Customs in Edgewater. I like the apes, the FLH front end minus the headlamp nacelle, and the small black headlamp. It’s a distinctive front end. That and the floorboards and paint, it all works for me. Marcus can be reached at Willie’s in Ormond Beach, 386-672-1888 if you’re a buyer.
