What makes the V8 trike so special in this case is that it’s really easy to ride in normal circumstances, believe it or not, it really shockingly is. But, it’s also easy to ride hard, fast, stupidly, whatever you want to call it, but it is easy and it is wicked, wicked fun. Fire it up, whack the throttle wide open like an idiot (although a happy idiot) and let those big meats spin themselves into a cloud of smoke. That’s what a General Motors small block punched out to 427 cubic-inches and built-up to 575 horsepower will do. Don’t believe me? Don’t blame you, so check out this video and see for yourself. Yup, that’s fun although possibly a bit tire-expensive if that became one’s daily routine.
We’ve covered the V8 bikes and trikes from V8 Choppers before and let me tell you personally, it’s a thrill ride anytime the starter button is punched. Even just sitting there idling with an occasional motor throat-clearing is pretty damn exciting. But, riding these well built, super high-quality machines is something you’ll never forget or ever get complacent about. Each ride is special even if it’s just to get a six pack and a Slim Jim. That’s what big power, even for a big V8, will do. Every ride becomes its own story.
Here’re a couple of previous articles we brought to you over the years about V8 Choppers trikes and we thought you just might enjoy perusing them again. One is about our first V8 Choppers encounter and the other is, well, it’s about riding an 875hp trike. That’s correct, 875hp and three wheels. What a trip.
