Ultra Customs
One of the first things Bob let me know was he makes the coolest bikes for only cool people. No bozos.
The project was initiated when the guys at Merch asked Bob for a unique bike that would turn heads. Merch had one directive. “Make it look fast even when it’s on the kickstand.” That was the right challenge for the right builder.
It all got started with the help of Vince at Redneck Ingenuity. The frame was delivered, then promptly Bob and his Madmen ground, cut and welded until it was no longer recognizable.
The complete bike is hand fabricated by the wizard team. Even all the components are manufactured in-house. Bob believes in keeping everything under one roof. The paint, seats, chrome, fab work etc. are all under the supervision of the wizard.
Bob says, “There is nothing worse than having someone else in charge of your destiny.”
The Merch high performance engine on this beast propels the bike like a rocket ship. Push the nitrous button and all hell breaks loose. Bob says, “Purging the nitrous always draws a crowd of amazed onlookers.”
The wizard’s experience and passion show up all over this bike. Bob grew up around an aircraft facility in Florida learning skills you just can’t pick up on the streets.
If you want to know more about the wizard check out the Art of the Chopper publication. He is featured in the popular book.
Check out the specs of all the quality components on this bike. Are you wondering what the hell is up with the headlight? It is a wizard original. It is a 38 special pistol headlight; Bob makes several headlight models as well as many other parts he has designed. Check it out at bobphillipdesign.com.
In the end, you got to love a guy like the wizard. In an industry full of chromed out slick choppers with expensive paint jobs and more show than go, Bob stands out as an original.
