The Boardwalk Bike Show was a big success although I wasn’t happy about the way the bikes were set up this year. With all the room on the boardwalk there is no reason to park the bikes so close together. Makes my job a real nightmare. The good news is that five builders were selected at the boardwalk show to compete at the IMBBA event in Dubai all-expenses-paid. They are Joe Palermo, Lee Wimmer, Steve Galvin, Larry Moore, and Lee Smith. Quite an honor and well deserved.
The other major show was held at Destination Daytona featuring over 80 incredible custom baggers that defied description. Again I have to bitch about the fact that this show is held twice a year inside a dark pavilion open all the way around and is so crowded you couldn’t even get to some of the bikes.
I know, do I want some cheese with my whine? It’s regrettable, though, that I wasn’t able to photograph a lot of these baggers because there were some very creative builds with incredible art and design displayed.
I hope you enjoy the bikes that I did get to shoot. I do the best I can under the circumstances and at least try to give you clear photos of all the unique components featured on the bikes.
Boy, would I ever like to be traveling to Dubai with the crew of five. I’m available. Call me! lol
