As much as I adore going to shows even if there’s not one bike that fits my personal aesthetic and wallet, there’s usually a unofficial show going on outside the facility that I find just as interesting, but in a totally different way. Same goes for Barnett’s Magazine Online’s ever-smiling, hard working lens man, Jack Cofano. Jack never misses a beat when there are good bikes to be found and he and I both appreciate the bikes parked out side the show as much as in. I think it’s just the idea that these show to almost show worthy bikes are regularly ridden custom Harleys sporting two of the hallowed options that he and I both appreciate and are rarely seen on any true show bike. That would be current license plates and a bit of honorable road grime. Badges of honor and as good as any trophy to me. These rides are owned by real people and treated as motorcycles albeit nicely customized and equipped ones.
Here is a small selection of some of those casually parked outside the event Jack deemed worth putting in front of your eyes. There’s not a dog in the bunch and a few I even lust after. A good bike’s a good bike whether it’s on a show floor or sitting in the street waiting for its next adventure. I hope you enjoy these real bikes as much as we do.
