In Part 1 of the coverage of the ROT Rally I mentioned the Custom Bike Builders Exhibit area inside the ThunderDome Arena and here are the bikes you would have seen at the show. This was a must stop on the grounds of the Travis County Expo Center not only to see top class show bikes on display but also to enjoy the comfy seats and the air conditioning.
Inside the ThunderDome there was also the Tattoo Expo, the Hookah Bar & Grill, Spinners Bar &Grill, and thankfully MYO Massage. The latter being something I was in dire need of, a back massage, and they came through with flying colors. I didn’t have to walk around with bad back pain for the rest of the rally.
Enough about all that, this article is about the Custom Bike Builders Exhibit and the premium bikes on display. There were national as well as local bike builders showcasing their metal art and masterful paintjobs. Walking in you were immediately drawn to the incredible radical baggers by Sinister Industries not only radical in design but also radical in paint with incredible colors and art. Speaking of color and art, you didn’t have to go far and certainly can never miss the works of Rick Fairless, owner of Strokers Dallas. Also in attendance was Hostile Cycles, a former Discovery Channel TV biker build-off participant. One of the builders that I have not seen before was Jason Barron of Primer Inc. Customs who had a couple of street fighters that I will be showcasing on their own in some later bike features.
There were plenty of other builders present— too many to mention here. To read Part 1 of this series, click here. If you want to find out from the source what the ROT Rally is all about and get all the information you could ever want you can go to www.rotrally.com.
