When Saturday rolled around bikers begin packing in the Bay. Saturday is normally your main event day and night at most motorcycle events and it’s normally the day of the highest attendance. As the rainy weather dissipated, and conditions began heating up, so did the event.
Tattoos are a prime symbol in the motorcycle world, and this event offers one the best contests. Bikers and rally goers begin showing off their permanent tattoos for the tattoo contest. The Thousand Islands River Run event offers an equal opportunity tattoo contest, one for the men, and one for the women. About 30 minutes before the start of the women’s tattoo contest the crowd started moving toward the Downtown bar, the location where the women would show off their body ink to the all-male judge squad and spectators and try to emerge as the tattoo champion of the Bay. It was interesting!
Immediately following the women’s tattoo contest, the crowd moved across the street to the Skiffs Bar for the Men’s contest. Another exciting event, especially the female judging crew.
Saturday night brought out another special crew when Fast Lane Biker kicked off the “Show me what you got” dance contest. These ladies did some moves that are not recommended for those over 40.
