Throw on a supercharger, though, and a hated Goldwing becomes immediately interesting to him. Must be the old racer in him always interested in balls-out performance. Or, it just might be that the edgy lowrider 1977 GL 1000 built by Blacksmith Motoring Co. in Round Lake, Illinois, has every piece and part massaged and redesigned until it almost becomes unrecognizable as a threat to business. Blacksmith Motoring along with designer H. Gio Giovanni left no stone unturned when they built this from the stroker motor to the supercharging to bodywork with details with more details followed by a few more details. Everything had to be fabricated as you can’t just whip out a catalog and bolt-on custom pieces for a Goldwing, you’ve got to start with raw materials and go from there.
Whether or not this is your cup of tea is up to you, but you can’t deny that it’s an eye catcher and theoretically that’s what custom bikes are all about. For more information on Blacksmith Motoring Co., surf on over to www.BlacksmithMotoring.com and see what the hubbub’s all about.
