In a recent survey it is estimated that one out of ten Americans admitted to having one. The Pew Research Center study found that 36-percent of adults 18-25 and 40-percent of adults 36-40 have at least one tattoo and take it from me, you can’t get just one.

            Are they expensive, painful, and permanent? The answer is yes, oh yea, and at the present time cannot be removed without leaving a scar. Hell, the same can be said about some relationships.

            For the last couple of years I have covered the Cape Fear Tattoo Expo in Wilmington, North Carolina. It’s a regional show, but indicative of the many shows you would see across the country. Along with dozens of tattoo artists serving the crowd there was the Monster Energy BMX Flow Team, Skin Mechanics Suspension and Skindicate Suspension as well as numerous bands playing around the area to support the show.
