The February 2011 issue of Barnett’s Magazines, our 75th and goin’ strong we’re proud to say, is on newsstands and mailboxes world wide. Baby it’s cold outside, but if the stunning Sbay World Championship-winning cover bike called Flyin’ doesn’t get your blood boiling, you should probably be reading Better Homes and Gardens and having a nice cup of tea. Steel City Choppers tasty Twisted Knuckle is another warm spot with their ode to the late, great Indian Larry. Be sure to check out Jack Cofano’s excellent coverage of Biketoberfest and Smoke Out XI and take a mental ride on Viper’s 152” Diamondback. If that isn’t enough, Mark Barnett continues his Harleys-of-the-future tease with Oberdan Bezzi’s Super Glide Chopper and V-Rod adventure bike.
With 10 feature bikes running the gamut from Smoken Joe Petersen’s Vendetta V-Rod to Charlie and Kelly O’Dell’s homage to the ’57 Sportster built on a budget, there’s plenty to keep you busy and dreamin’. We’ve been up all kinds of fun stuff like our Harley Parking Lot, and an account of the day publisher Mark Barnett and editor Buck Manning slipped away to test ride the big engined Viper Diamondback. In back-to-back reports they give you the real skinny on this 152″ giant. As for me, I had the pleasure of writing about Covington’s Coast to Coast Custom bagger, gorgeous in Candy Blue with Royal Flake.
There’s so much more, I can’t even get into it. But I will tell you this: We realize it’s incumbent on Barnett’s Magazine, still the industry’s No. 1 Source for Customs and Modified Harleys, to be real and address the issue of affordability when it comes to building, buying, or riding bikes. We’ve got our eyes on lots of low-dollar modified Harleys and budget customs in the coming issues and to help things along we’ve added Such a Deal. This month Mark Barnett takes his 20-plus years of experience to get down and dirty, pointing out how to get a custom bike for short money.
Basically, we’re jam packed with bikes from all over the world, deals, new products and ideas, and as I pointed out earlier, fun you won’t want to miss. To make sure don’t miss out on the fun click on the Barnett’s Magazines to the right on the top banner or just click here. You can also subscribe by calling us at 800-736-8173.
A two-year subscription is only $24.99; that’s just $2.08 per issue versus paying $5.99 an issue on the newsstand. It’s like this: Imagine going to the store and handing the clerk $6 for the magazine, and having her give you back almost $4! Plus, you eliminate the cost of gas and the hassle of driving. It’s not rocket science, it’s such a deal.
Hey — stay warm, stay excited, and most of all, stay classy.
