“Slab Rider” began with an Independent Cycle / Legend Lowlife frame with some added rake and exotic metal work. A PPM Enterprises 96” motor was added with their billet heads atop an Ultima base. Eight months of afterhours labor was put into finishing the project, which is loaded with high end parts, including a Martin Brothers right side drive exhaust pipe. These pipes are what made the Martin Brothers famous. Most of the bikes produced out of the shop were built to showcase their exhaust pipes which are available just about everywhere, from MC Advantages and Arlen Ness Enterprises to Drag Specialties. Mean Street provided the forks for this creation, as they do for many of the Martin Brothers bikes.
The Martin Brothers produce about fourteen different wild pipe designs, four of which are for RSD applications. You can check their pipes out on the web at www.martinbrosbikes.com. Or you can just watch for their bikes on re-runs of the Biker Build Off series which seem to be on much of the time nowadays. Mark is starting work on another project bike which he hopes to keep, really. This time he’s using a Martin Bros. Trendkill frame along with a 113” Ultima motor. We hope he gets a few more rides out of this one.
