Since then Steve has honed his building and racing interests. He runs annually in the vintage races at Daytona International Speedway and is a well-known collector and rebuilder of antique motorcycles and vehicles. He served as chief mechanic of one of the contestants in the recent Cannonball Memorial Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash.
So, on my arrival in Daytona, I made arrangements to run out to Steve’s compound outside of town. Marcus Orabona of Trailer Trash Choppers accompanied me as he was interested in Steve’s used parts collection. Three acres of parts, engines, boats, cars, trucks, and tons of motorcycle parts and complete motorcycles.
We returned the following week to shoot some of the bikes that Steve and Vanessa could pull out of the building with ease. These will be viewable soon. Everybody who has seen the photos wants to visit Steve’s collection. Steve would like to open a museum and properly display this incredible collection.
