Here’s a bit of information for you to make your own decision on whether it’s something you should fire up the bike and attend direct from Thousand Islands’ own Mary Compeau, “In the summer of 2007, the Alexandria Bay Chamber of Commerce hosted the Thousand Islands River Run Motorcycle rally in Alexandria Bay, New York. It was a great success and with each passing year the Thousand Islands River Run is attracting larger numbers of motorcycling enthusiasts to see what Alexandria Bay has to offer.
With the beautiful location of the Thousands Islands and an event promoting this area as well as motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the state of New York, the US, and Canada, this event has the potential of becoming one of Northern New York’s main attractions in a few short years. The TI River Run is now nationally recognized throughout the United States and Canada.
What makes it a really good rally is a lot more than a well run, organized event. Yup, the riding and the sightseeing in this area are top notch whether the rally’s on or not. You may have missed this year’s rally just like me, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go riding there and just totally enjoy yourself.
