If you and your bike will be attending the 73rd Annual Sturgis rally, this is your chance. Tuesday, August 6th at high noon, the Broken Spoke Campground will be featuring the first annual Twisted Tea Editor’s Choice Bike Show where a dozen or more national motorcycle publication editors will be choosing their favorite bike to feature in the pages of their magazine.
The Editor’s Choice Bike Show has taken place twice thus far, last September at Las Vegas BikeFest and last March at Daytona Bike Week. Both shows were a huge success so the Editors have decided to set up camp for another round of the show. Each editor will select a bike from the show to award as his/her “Editor’s Choice” to receive a trophy for the win and the most exciting prize, a full feature in their publication. Go get your pan, your bagger, your café racer all shined up, it’s on!
In addition to The Editor’s Choice Awards there will be 10 classes awarded for the best Sportster, Big Twin, Bobber, Chopper, Pan, Shovel, Bagger, Café, Import, and Antique motorcycles of the day. Twisted Tea is going to make sure everyone gets a chance to get their bike in the show and because of that there is NO ENTRY FEE! This round is on Twisted Tea and the Broken Spoke Campground and there will be tons of prizes and give-a-ways from these two companies and various industry manufacturers.
Each publication will have an Editor on site so you get to spend the day with them to say hello, give them praise or even argue with them about something they’ve said in the pages of their magazine. You’ll get the chance to meet staff members and editors from: American Iron, American Iron Bagger, Cycle Source, The Horse, Iron Works, Hot Bike, Hot Bike Bagger, Street Chopper, American Bagger, Road Bike, and BikerNet.com. Rob Keller will be representing the Motorcycle Riders Foundation as well, so bring along your MC Rights issues for a good chance to get answers to any questions you may have. I’ll even be there if you’d like to meet me.
Registration is at noon, awards will be announced by 6pm and from there the party will be on at the Broken Spoke Campground. This is the first annual Editor’s Choice Award Bike Show held during the Sturgis Rally so don’t miss out!
