Story and Photos by Jack Cofano {phocagallery view=categories|categoryid=781|imagecategories=0|}

Last weekend was one of the highlights of the season for me, that being the V-Twin Expo by Easyriders at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is the custom bike and V-twin trade show, which brings in vendors, celebrities, builders, and manufacturers.
This year the snow held off and I didn’t hear any horror stories about people having trouble getting to the show. Not so for the boxes of our magazine, that we had shipped to our hotel. Seems like they didn’t get to Cincinnati until late Saturday because of “flight delays.” Needless to say we had no copies to hand out which majorly sucked. That’s the kind of thing that ends up happening when you hold a show in the winter, in Cincinnati, on Super Bowl Weekend. Can the organizers think of any more reasons for people not to attend? I don’t even want to go there.
The attendance was down again this year but the mood was positive. I’m sure that the above reasons had something to do with it. Oh yeah, and a little thing called the recession. Unfortunately the show has gone from two floors of vendors to one floor and that floor had a lot of empty spaces. On the bright side I will say that according to the vendors, people were spending money. I even bought a new helmet.
This year I got to hang out with our illustrious leader and the man who pays me for doing what I love to do. It never ceases to amaze me when Mark Barnett explains the business aspects of our industry. I learn things that under normal circumstances I would never think of. He is a man of a million ideas. Do I sound like I’m sucking up too much? Well, maybe a little, but the way I see it you are never too old to learn new tricks and I for one hope that I can learn something new every day for the rest of my life.
I could have written this article solely on the beautiful bikes on display, the fabulous products, or the celebs in attendance, but you should be able to get a better understanding about what goes on at this show by perusing the photos shown in this article. There’s more to come on the V-Twin Expo at a later date. You haven’t heard the last from me.
